FELLOWSHIP...
JUDGMENT HOUSE
WestSide will be working for the next year or so on a dramatic walk-thru presentation from Judgment House. We know it sounds like we’re starting really early, but besides picking a script and learning lines and planning the sets and working on all the other aspects of Judgment House that are essential to it’s success, we want to begin praying now for God to lead our congregation and prepare our hearts as well as the hearts of those who will attend. This is perhaps the greatest outreach opportunity we’ve ever participated in. Please pray earnestly for our church’s guidance and pray for God to show you where you may used of God. This is going to be exciting!! Don’t miss your opportunity to see souls saved.
55th HOMECOMING
WestSide celebrated its 55th Anniversary on June 21st and 22nd. Saturday included a casual BBQ with a “country fair” atmosphere and planned activities for the whole family followed by a concert by The Calvary Heirs, with our own Bill Eckler, at 6:00. The group taped a live concert for their upcoming DVD.

A special homecoming service was held Sunday during our regular morning worship with special recognition of founding member, Ellen Johnston.
BAPTIST WOMEN’S DAY
Thank you to all the ladies who participated in our Baptist Women’s Day Service on April 13th. The women meet regularly on each third Wednesday night of the month. If you’d like to learn more about what the WMU does, please see Debra Livingston or Bro. Allen.
MOM’S DAY OF PRAYER
Mom's Day of Prayer on Saturday the 19th was truly a blessing! We had a turnout of close to 30 people throughout the day. I want to give a special thank you to our WMU that helped to bring it all together on missions night. I want to extend a thank you to those who were able to work during Saturday. I want to thank those who were able to come and pray.
Kandi did such a wonderful job all day long presenting the DVD to different groups of ladies, and I thank her tremendously for that!
The Holy Spirit was with us on Saturday and we were so motivated and moved by the Love of our Lord and Savior. There were tears and laughter but mostly there was fellowship of meeting new people and coming together in our Lord's house. And it is always a blessing to have fellowship with our own ladies at WestSide.
Just imagine the power of all the prayers that went UP on Saturday from all over the world and for OUR children! God is so wonderful!
Guess what?!?!?! Let's already get excited about hosting this event next year. WE will host this event on the 3rd Saturday of 2009. How exciting!!! For those who were not able to attend this year, just look forward to next year.
It is always such a wonderful feeling to work in the Lord's will.........and when that is done, the Lord blesses us in so many ways.
So, in ending this, let's get ready for hosting this event in 2009 and just remember to pray for our children. They have so many burdens and needs...we just need to pray for them daily. We Love them so much...they are our future.
